The Rebel Run was hosted by ALIVE MINDS RUN CLUB with Rebel and New Balance to celebrate the launch of the New Balance 1080 in Melbourne. My role was to photograph the whole event: the run itself, the community behind the club, and the brand moments around the launch.

I followed the group through the city streets to shoot the run up close, then moved inside for the panel talk, where open daylight gave way to stage lighting. Between the planned moments I kept watch for the small ones: smiles at the crossings, the new 1080s on display, a cup of Pidapipo gelato, and the whole crew together after the run.

Within 24 hours of the run I delivered more than 150 edited photos, covering the run, the talks, the product and the people, so the club and the brands could share the full story while the event was still fresh.
